PRICE RANGE: Low(Less than $9)
FAVORITE FOOD: Hamburger with lettuce, onions, mustard, mayonnaise and Ward's famous chili sauce.
OTHER GREAT FOODS:Taco salad with Ward's chili sauce, hot dog with chili sauce. Breakfast.
MOST OUTSTANDING FEATURE:Courtesy. A person in our group made a mistake on his order. The employee made things right in a cheerful way.
APPEARANCE:The dining area is simple, basic, and comfortable.
SERVICE: Excellent.
UNIQUE FEATURES:Ward's is famous for rootbeer, made in the restaurant. Local people rate Ward's as number 1. Some of the towns listed below are small, but there's usually a crowd at the restaurant. This fast food place serves the kind of food we Southerners enjoy.

La Madeleine Country French Café, One of Our Favorite Restaurants

La Madeleine de Corps, Inc., has "60 locations in Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Atlanta, Washington D.C. and surrounding areas."
The first La Madeleine restaurant some of us knew about was located in the mall in Baton Rouge. We thought it was a south Louisiana restaurant, but one of our group informed us it was a Dallas restaurant. Wherever we've found it, we've loved it for its atmosphere and excellent food.

FAVORITE FOOD:Caesar Salade
Quoting the menu:"Our signature salade with Parmesan Available with fat-free Caesar dressing (chicken available)"
We used to enjoy salmon on the Caesar Salade, but it seems not to be available.
OTHER GREAT FOODS:Croque Monsieur
Again quoting the menu: "Our classic French twist on the ham and cheese sandwich made with tender ham, warm Swiss and our savoury garlic cream sauce"
MOST OUTSTANDING FEATURE:atmosphere. We have enjoyed the complimentary bread and jam.
SPECIALS: Something new we’d like to try: mini croquet trio, consisting of three sandwiches – croquet monsieur, chicken pesto croquet, and turkey, bacon & pesto croque – with cranberry pecan salade
APPEARANCE: Clean
SERVICE: Efficient
UNIQUE FEATURES: Unique food, comfortable surroundings.
